TOPSHOPXKATEMOSS is finally out!

Image
Kate Moss for Topshop  is here!!! Available in Topshop & Nordstrom in stores and online. For the full feature, check my old post here . Amidst the cold & wet day in NYC today, I had the chance to see the collection in Topshop Soho. The store opened at 8 AM and the first 100 customers  who went to the store were given a goody bag. Fresh fruits and drinks were served. Mimosa for me of course! ;) I arrived around 9 AM already and didn't expect to still get a goody bag. But I guess due to the rain, only a few people came. I only tried on the classic styles as the other ones are not my style or too long for me. Some designs are meant for tall people unfortunately. This is a cute dress! The circle thingies you see in the dress are all rhinestones! This dress is under the collection, Cocktail Hour. In Kate Moss' words, "I always like to include a tea dress and it's essential to h...

Summer is coming! This Saturday, I'll tell you how you can have some savings! This swimsuit set only costed $3.90! The cheapest I ever had!!! These are brand new. They are not clearance. Not even on sale. In fact, they are still to be officially released on May 1st! The top & bottom costs only $4.95 each! First EngageMONTH!

Image
It's been a month since the engagement. To commemorate this, I want to share our great experience during our  first dinner as an engaged couple. So after he proposed in the Empire State Building, we headed to A Voce Madison . 41 Madison Ave (At 26th Street)    Tel: 212.545.8555 chocolates for the sweet night courtesy of A Voce A Voce Madison's design reflects an aesthetic that is at once natural and urban,  creating sophisticated and modern oasis.  The dining room is eneveloped by two garden spaces,  one literal (the 100-seat outside dining piazza adorned with lemon trees, flowers and herbs) and  the other figurative (an impressive indoor art installation entitled "Falling Twig"). The restaurant interior features a mix of modern accents evoking Italy's industrial history:  stainless steel and high-gloss chocolate and vanilla lacquers,  while American walnut floors, leather-toppe...

Wedding Wednesdays!

Image
Let us talk about some wedding traditions. For this Wedding Wednesday, it is all about Tossing the Bouquet Tossing the bouquet is a tradition that stems from England.  Women used to try to rip pieces of the bride's dress and flowers  in order to obtain some of her good luck.  To escape from the crowd the bride would toss her bouquet and run away.  Today the bouquet is tossed to single women  with the belief that whoever catches it will be the next to marry. I honestly NEVER believed in this tradition but hey it's fun! ;) I remember my first time "catching" the bouquet. It was in my cousin's wedding in the suburbs in the Philippines. In general, single Filipino women shy away from this event. They don't wanna join or they are being dragged to go the floor. The first time the bride tossed the bouquet, it fell in the floor as no one even attempted to catch it. So the next time she tossed it, well let me catch ...

Hey, Happy Earth Day!

Image
"Be the change you want to see in the world." -Mahatma Gandhi Today, April 22, is  Earth Day ! Our planet is at a turning point.  The massive global migration underway now from countryside to cities  will demand huge investments in energy, water, materials, waste, food distribution, and transportation over the next 25 years.  If the right investments are made now,  this unique opportunity will be the catalyst for dramatic changes in the built environment  and the fight against carbon emissions and climate change.                                                          For those who are in New York, click here for events. This is one of the advocacy campaigns of Earth Day New York. So me & my girlfriends acted in a couple of ways today: My girlfriends...

Massage Monday: Spa Week '14

Image
After long days of work, I think I deserve a massage. And what a perfect timing because it is SPA WEEK is a bi-annual event focused on the personal health and wellness of consumers.  Every April and October, hundreds of spa and wellness locations across North America provide two to three full-service spa treatments for just $50 each, offering everyone access to the spa and wellness lifestyle. During this  SPA WEEK EVENT from April 21-27 , participating spas each offer 3 different deals for only $50 each. I wasn't able to book an appointment beforehand so all my top choices are already booked this week. I called several of my favorite places such as Red Door Spa at The Chatwal New York, The Salon & Spa at Saks Fifth Avenue - NYC, L'Institut Sothys New York, etc. My only chance is that if someone cancels. Anyways, I needed a massage badly today so I ended up trying Rehoboth Spa Lounge . Overview " Hollywood and...
