#HunterXTarget

Before I start the #HunterXTarget post,
I would like to share some memories.

Target began collaborations in 1999 with Michael Graves,
a famous architect, as the lead-off designer.

I have been a fan of Target collabs since 2008.

They are fun & affordable!
Who doesn’t want that?!

This dress is still alive!
And yes,
I still love it!

I need to dig it again in my closet.
But here are pictures of me wearing it in Slovenia on June 2016.

In December 2012,
with their collab with CFDA/Neiman Marcus,
I was officially hooked. lol

In 2013,
I didn’t buy anything from the Prabal Gurung collab
as the collection was not appealing to me at that time.
We go through phases, you know. lol
But ---
I think I probably bought every item in their collab with FEED.
Some for personal use & most for gifting.
Items that give back = win-win!

And guess what?
4 years later,
I met Lauren B. Lauren in a FEED event!

In 2014,
I went nuts with their collab w/ Peter Pilotto.
It was one of my first blog posts actually.
I still have some of the items up to this day.
Read here.

And it was meant to be
as I met the designers of Peter Pilotto
2 years later!

The next couple of years,

I was living in London
so I can’t access the collabs as much
but still managed to snag some items
from across the pond.

In 2014,
I was able to get some items with their collab with Altuzzara
because we came back to US for the holidays.

My favorite was the sweater & until now everyone asks me where I got it!

In 2015,
I didn’t get anything from the Lilly Pulitzer collab as that was a crazy one I heard.
Though I have Lilly dresses,
I was never a big follower.

In 2016,
I didn’t get anything from the Marimekko collab as I was coincidentally travelling at that time
to the origin of the brand - Finland!
I loved Marimekko even before the collab so I splurged on my shopping there.

In 2017,
I am back to the US of A
& of course who won’t fall in love with the collab with Victoria Beckham.
I def "really, really, really want" them all in Posh Spice singing tone.
I bought most of the collection & became my work clothes.

And this year,
the collab is with Hunter,
a British heritage brand known for its iconic Original Wellington boot.

Founded in 1856 by an American entrepreneur in Scotland,
Hunter (originally named North British Rubber Company).
Hunter was awarded a
Royal Warrant from the Duke of Edinburgh in 1977
& another from The Queen in 1986.

If Royal Warrants weren’t enough endorsement,
Lady Diana Spencer was spotted wearing Hunter Originals in her engagement photos.

In 2005,
Kate Moss stepped in to save the day during a tough period for the business.
She was spotted wearing the boots as part of her Glastonbury festival outfit
causing the brand to kick off a new theme of “being outstanding in every field”.
Winning!

In 2015,
the boots found their footing in festival with celebrities
such as Bradley Cooper, Alexa Chung, Stella McCartney, Kendall Jenner, Suki Waterhouse, etc.
spotted sporting the wellies at Glastonbury.

Target: “Hunter has long been regarded for its impeccable design aesthetic, rich heritage and playful spirit, & based on our research, it’s a brand our guests know and love. So a pairing between our two brands made perfect sense. From the very beginning, we worked with Hunter to develop a well-designed, affordable collection that’s all about fun, optimism & accessible adventure for the entire family. The colorful, all-weather pieces found in this line are made for enjoying the outdoors – rain or shine – on any budget.”
-Mark Tritton, executive vice president & chief merchandising officer

Hunter: “Our partnership with Target provides a unique & very powerful opportunity for us to share the Hunter story & engage with a very broad audience in the U.S.  We share a similar spirit & brand values. In particular, our appeal to the entire family & a spirit of joy, optimism & daily adventure. The partnership celebrates this and our connection to festivals & the outdoors.”

Suki Waterhouse and Stella McCartney

In 2013,
Alasdhair Willis joined the brand as creative director,
introducing a new era of Hunter.
Since his appointment,
the label has transitioned from a single product business,
known almost exclusively for its Original boots,
to become a multi-category business,
expanding into all-weather pieces
across the ready-to-wear, footwear & accessories categories.
The brand’s products are popular with festival-goers
& today,
Hunter is instantly recognizable on the festival fields of Britain & across the globe.

The #HunterXTarget collection
includes more than 300 items.
It spans apparel & accessories
for women, men, girls, boys & toddlers,
as well as products for the home & outdoors –
a number of which are a first for Hunter,
such as hammocks, sunshades & coolers.

The Hunter for Target collection is available in select stores for a limited time only
starting today!
Some items exclusive online & some are only available in select stores.

I got lucky we now have a Target in NYC.
I was able to buy some items in store & ordered some online.

For those eyeing the women’s tall rain boots,
unfortunately they are delayed & won’t be available when the collection launches.

I would like to share some of the items I bought.

Did you get anything from the collab?

I wanna know! =)

Peace, FUN & love,
Princess
